Minors’ Health and Safety Policy

Minors’ Health and Safety Policy

The health and safety of all our church family is of the utmost importance, especially when it concerns those under the age of 18.

While we believe unequivocally in what the Scriptures say about healing being for us today, we also believe that Scripture shows that it is appropriate to use wisdom in exposing ourselves and others to contagious diseases. If you have questions about these doctrines, please feel free to speak with a pastoral staff member or minister at the church.

To that end, we have enacted the current policies regarding illnesses in children and youth who attend services and events at our church:

  • If your child currently has new symptoms of any communicable disease, such as fever, cough, discolored runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, etc., they will not be allowed into our child care or youth services.
  • If your child has an infection of lice, they will not be allowed into our child care or youth services.
  • If your child has any allergies we should be aware of, please bring them to the attention of the department worker right away so we may accommodate to the best of our abilities.

Family Church does not assume responsibility for any infections that occur while a minor is in our care. The parent/guardian agrees to this upon discharge into the care of that youth or children’s department.
